The Big Bang Explained in Two Minutes

September 29, 2009

Below is a two-minutes explanation of the Big Bang Theory:

A few observations:

  1. She uses the phrase “time and space was created.”  Now, I realized that nowhere in her discussion does she include the idea of a Creator, so I wonder why she decided to use the word “created.”  The concept of chance appearance cannot contain the implications of that of creation.  These are two separate things.  Was this simply a slip or is she working with borrowed capita from a Christian worldview?  Could she be thinking like the “creature” that she is?
  2. The video is actually pretty concise, pithy, and clear.  There are large concepts that she is explaining and she explains them very well in a pretty small amount of time.  Yet, some of the theories that she puts forward are amazingly creative – which is about all you could say about it.  She begins to move beyond the idea of a “uni”verse to “mega”verse, which, as she says, we could have no communication with or knowledge of.  Which points to the fact that the Big Bang Theory truly does rely upon how creative you can describe your theory.
  3. Finally, and more seriously, it is amazing the creative strength that can be put forward to reject a biblical understanding of creation and God’s revelation to his creation of himself.

One thing you seem to be doing here, which many Christians are not able to do, is applaud the concision and creativity of something with which you disagree wholeheartedly.

Many Christian bloggers wouldn’t have posted a link to the video, much less embedded it. So what does the Creation Science or Intelligent Design community have on YouTube that comes close to matching this?
