iPhone Browser Accountability Now Available

December 31, 2009

For the iPhone and iPod Touch there hasn’t been any good browsing filters or accountability available.  I simply have taken the browsing capability off of mine.  I really only use it for email, Twitter, and Google Reader.  Frankly, its just not worth it.  Porn access is a massive problem on iPhones.

Thankfully, X3Watch and Covenant Eyes have both released an iPhone app that works similar to their browsing accountability for desktops and notebooks.  I have only tried the X3Watch app (since I use it on my computer) and, while there are a few bugs (updates are promised soon), it is a good browser and functions well.  Also, its FREE.  I want to encourage iPhone users to disable Safari, give your wife (or accountability partner) the pass-code, and download one of these apps.
